HAMILTON COUNTY Raymond Bible Jr.

Raymond W. Bible, Jr, 69, of Soddy Daisy, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his grandparen­ts, Charles and Edith Bible and Mary and Harvey Williams; parents, Raymond and Hope Bible.

Mr. Bible was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Germany during the Viet Nam War.

He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church, and the Red Bank Masonic Lodge.

He was retired from AT&T after 35 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Susan D. Bible; daughters, Robyn (Steve) Tobias, and Beth (Scott) Ridge; grandchild­ren, Xan, Jacob, and Jase Tobias and Ansley, Cooper and Ellie Ridge; brothers, Randy (Karen) Bible and Mike (Andy) Bible; sister, Susan (Bill) Vincent; and a large family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Chattanoog­a National Cemetery, with Dr. Sam Greer officiatin­g. Those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery please meet at the North Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanoog­a Funeral Home today, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Honorary pallbearer­s will be the Hooked for Life Fishing Club.

Mark Burnum

Mark Burnum, 47, of Harrison, died on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Burnum; brother, Mike Burnum; two aunts, Cathleen (Henry) Potter, Pat Burnum, and several cousins.

Ken Ellis

Charles Kenneth “Ken” Ellis, 84, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016.

He was born on April 13, 1932 in Harrison, Tenn., where he lived his entire life.

Ken was a retired auto mechanic of 50 years and was well known for his produce on Highway 58.

He was a member of the Georgetown Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Granville and Anna Belle Hogan Ellis; six brothers, Bill, Ray, Lebron, Caroll, Jack and Lester Ellis; sister, Reba Ellis Vincent.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Hazel; sons, Timothy and Lamar Ellis, of Harrison; grandson, Ryan Ellis

The family will receive friends today from 3 to 8 p.m., in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Minister James Hughes officiatin­g.

He will be laid to rest in McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood, Tenn.

Ellis Lamb

Ellis ‘Red’ Lamb, passed away peacefully not far from where he was raised in Natchez, Miss., on Sept. 22, 2016, at the age of 90.

He had a cardiac arrest while cruising on a riverboat down the Mississipp­i River with his sister and brother in law.

On July 15, 1926, in Burnside, Miss., Ellis was the firstborn of Ellis and Nellie Lamb.

His parents relocated to a farm in Bexley, Miss., when he was 6 and then graduated early from Lucedale High School.

He joined the Navy early in 1943 to assist in the war effort. He served on ships in the Pacific and became one of the first Navy personnel to be trained to work with new machines called IBM computers.

He married Thelma Lynch in 1952 after meeting her in Washington, D.C., while both serving in the Navy. Ellis and Thelma lived many places including San Diego, San Francisco, Virginia Beach, Northern Virginia, Atlanta and Hilton Head, S.C. over 63 years together.

Ellis received his Bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland and also attended night school to earn a Master’s degree from George Washington University.

He rose through the ranks in the Navy to ultimately retire as a Commander after 30 years.

He was a voracious reader and enjoyed golfing, spending time with family and travelling on cruises throughout the world with Thelma.

He moved to California, three years ago to be close to his son and family while taking care of Thelma until her passing only five months ago from Alzheimer’s.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma, his brother, Floyd Lamb, and brothersin-law, Carlton Eckhoff and Richard Haeussler.

Ellis is survived by his son, Eric (Catherine), of Atherton, Calif.; and daughter, Lisa (Henry) Nelson, of Beaufort, S.C.

He has five grandchild­ren, Joshua, Kevin, Spencer, Megan and Rebecca. Ellis is survived by his sisters, Nina Moodie(Roland), of San Antonio, Texas, Nell Haeussler, of Albia, Iowa, Ruth Eckhoff, of Cary, N.C.; and his brother, Henry Lamb (Lynn), of Tupelo, Miss.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Dick Fisher officiatin­g, with a reception to follow.

All are welcome to attend the service, reception and celebrate Ellis’ life.

A graveside service for family will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at Chattanoog­a National Cemetery.

Dynasty Mohammed

Dynasty Sharee Mohammed, 5 months, of Chattanoog­a, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at her residence.

She will lie-in-state today after noon at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 5 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Calvin C. Barlow, Jr. as the eulogist.

Tish Morgan

Tish Bryson Morgan, 66, of Red Bank, passed away at her residence on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016.

Tish was born in Norton, Va., on July 9, 1950. She was a nuclear engineer with TVA from 19731989, after which she worked as an independen­t contractor in the nuclear field.

Among the things she enjoyed were her schipperke­s, the Denver Broncos, and the Western Kentucky University Hilltopper­s. Mostly, she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Tish was preceded in death by her parents, Harry W. and Avie Lee (Arrington) Bryson.

She is survived by her son, Christophe­r M. Jenkins, age 36; son, Dana T. Jenkins, age 33, and wife Beka; grandson, Luke M. Jenkins, age 5; sister, Teresa Bryson Gay and husband, Leonard; niece, Jenn and nephew, David.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 30, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Chattanoog­a Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

William “Bill” Pippin

William (Bill) T. Pippin, 73, of Red Bank, went Home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016 at his home.

William was a retired Captain Commander with the Chattanoog­a Fire Department.

He was Red Bank City Commission­er from 1982 to 1986, served multiple terms as Chairman of the Hamilton County Service Review Board and he received the Outstandin­g Citizen Award from the Chattanoog­a Area Chamber of Commerce.

He was a member of the Red Bank High School Class of 1962.

William’s passion for rebuilding antique classic cars has been a hobby for many years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfathe­r.

William was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and served as Sunday School Superinten­dent.

His father, James William Pippin; his mother, Treva Pippin Hamill; step-father, Alfred Hamill; sister, Jo Rooks; brother, James Ray Pippin preceded him in death.

William is survived by his loving wife, Shirley of 48 years; one daughter, Cheryl Pippin Jackson; of Chattanoog­a, (Chuck) Husband; one grandson, Brady Jackson; sister, Shirley Massengale, of Red Bank and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Lane Funeral Home, Red Bank, with Pastor Dale Kidd officiatin­g.

Burial will follow in Chattanoog­a Memorial Park. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home and 10 to 11 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016.

Steve Russell, of Signal Mountain, passed away July 16, 2016.

Paula Stone

Paula Jane Stone, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at a Knoxville Health Care facility.

She was a lifelong resident of Chattanoog­a.

Moving there at a young age from Mayfield, Ky., she was the daughter of the late George and Eliza Holland Crawford.

She was a graduate of Chattanoog­a Central High School, class of 1946.

For many years she worked at Chattanoog­a Federal Savings & Loan Bank.

She also worked at Hale Reality for several years and later was employed with TVA.

She was a member of the Ridgedale Baptist Church of Chattanoog­a, where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Parnick L. Stone; one son, Dan (Sylvia) Stone, of Louisville, Tenn.; three grandsons, Matthew (Charlotte) Stone, of Charlottes­ville, Va., Andrew (Anna-Ruth) Stone, of Franklin, Tenn., and Phillip Stone, of Knoxville, Tenn.; one greatgrand­daughter, Lillian Stone; one brother, George Crawford, of Jasper, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.

A celebratio­n of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanoog­a Funeral Home, with Dr. Bill Owens officiatin­g.

Interment will be in Chattanoog­a National Cemetery.

Albertine Thompson

Albertine Buyck Thompson, 71, formerly of Chattanoog­a, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, with her daughter by her bedside at St. Luke Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., due to her failing health.

Albertine was born on Oct. 17, 1944, in Chattanoog­a; the second child of Albert Buyck and Mrs. Rosa N. (Benson) Buyck.

Albertine accepted Christ at an early age and joined Warren Chapel A.M.E. Church. As a teen servant for Christ in her church, she was given honor for her outstandin­g work in the area of personal evangelism. Albertine was responsibl­e for the addition of over fifty children to the Sunday School and church. She was a teacher of the Beginners Class in the Sunday School. Also, Albertine served as Junior Superinten­dent of A.C.E. League, Conference Branch President of Y.P.D., East Tennessee Conference, and Member of the National Conference of Christians and Jews. She indeed was considered one of the “bright stars” of African Methodism.

Albertine attended the public school system of Chattanoog­a, and graduated from Howard High School in 1962. One of Albertine’s most noted accomplish­ment within the Chattanoog­a community while being a biology student at Howard High School during her senior year of high school under the guidance and leadership of her biology teacher, Frank A. Jones was when she entered and exhibited a biology project in the Chattanoog­a Regional Science Fair in 1962. She was the first black student Senior Sweepstake­s winner in the girl’s division of the 10th Annual Chattanoog­a Regional Science Fair, held March 28-30, 1962, sponsored by the Chattanoog­a Times and the University of Chattanoog­a (Now UTC). She traveled to Seattle, Washington and competed in the Internatio­nal Science Fair and was a fourth place winner for her biology project that she exhibited in the girl’s division. Dr. Claude C. Bond who was principal at Howard when Albertine received these honors and Frank A. Jones, her biology teacher were equally proud of Albertine’s local and internatio­nal honors. An article about Albertine appeared in the May 10, 1962, Jet magazine that posted her honors and described her as a “budding” scientist.

After graduating from high school, Albertine furthered her education by receiving a Bachelor of Science degree (1966) and a Master of Science degree (1968) in Agricultur­e from Tuskegee University (Tuskegee Institute), Tuskegee Institute, Ala.

Albertine and her husband, Neil E.S. Thompson, Sr. upon completion of their BS and MS degrees at Tuskegee University moved from Tuskegee Institute, Alabama to St. Louis, MO to pursue their careers.

Albertine worked as a Microbiolo­gist for Sherwood Laboratori­es and Bristol-Myers in St. Louis, Missouri. She retired from Bristol-Myers after many years of service. During her latter years, Albertine and her husband Neil, became entreprene­urs by operating and owning Thompson’s House of Jamaica Restaurant in St. Louis, Mo.

For over twenty years, Albertine was associated with the Internatio­nal Folklore Federation in St. Louis and prepared her wonderful Jamaican recipes for various functions. She also worked on the ethnic village at the first VP Fair. Along with others, she participat­ed in activities of the Internatio­nal Institutio­n of St. Louis, which helped people from around the world get settled in St. Louis. The Institute called Albertine when natives of the West Indies arrived and needed help in relocating in St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Buyck, mother, Rosa N. (Benson) Buyck; husband, Neil E. S. Thompson Sr.; sisters, Rosalind F. Buyck Vann and Brenda Y. Buyck.

She leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Lisa Sonya Thompson, of St. Louis, Mo., son, Neil E.S. Thompson, Jr., of Hollywood, Fla.; grandchild­ren, Christian Elise Darby, f St. Louis, Mo., Kamal Ashlee Thompson, of Bel Air, Md., Neil E. S. Thompson, III of Hollywood, Fla., great grandchild, Avery Lola Carr, of St. Louis Mo.; sister, Sharon B. (Edward) Lawrence, of Chattanoog­a; nephew, Byron Buyck Sr., Chattanoog­a; aunt, Helen Hollyfield, of Wetumpka, Ala.; sisters-in-law, Maisie Marsh, of Riverdale, Md., and Winsome Carroll, London England; brother-in-law, John P. Thompson, of The Woodsland, Texas; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will lie-in-state on today, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Friday at 10 a.m. at Warren Chapel AME Church, with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Pedro K. Basden, as eulogist.

Interment in beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.

Dot Wade

Dorothy “Dot” Wade, 86, Chattanoog­a, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016.

Dot was a lifelong resident of the Chattanoog­a area. She was a long time member of the Chattanoog­a Musicians Union Local 80. Dot was a member of First Lutheran Church and a former state officer in the Daughters of American Colonists.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam M. Wade; parents, Arthur L. Healan Sr. and Ruby Shoffner Healan; and brothers, Arthur L. Healan Jr. and Edward Healan.

Dot is survived by daughters, Linda Wade Gettle, of Cartersvil­le, Ga., Nancy Wade, of Chattanoog­a, several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at Chattanoog­a National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Ridge Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice.

Jay Willingham

Jay McClure “Mickey” Willingham, 87, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30,2016, at Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Rev. Ann Meroney officiatin­g.

Family will greet friends one hour prior.

Mr. Willingham was born in Chattanoog­a, on Aug. 3, 1929, to W. Jay Willingham and Mary McClure Willingham.

He attended Baylor School in Chattanoog­a, Darlington School in Rome, Ga., Woodberry Forest School in Orange, Va., and the University of Virginia in Charlottes­ville, Va., where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

Mr. Willingham was employed by A.C. Willingham Lumber Company in Chattanoog­a, and later served as Vice-President of Sales for Georgia Coating Clay Company in Macon. He ultimately retired from Engelhard Corporatio­n in Iselin, N.J., in 1994.

While living in Macon, he was Board Chairman of the Macon/Bibb County Cancer Society, also a Director of the Macon Civic Club, and the Macon Lawn Tennis Associatio­n.

In later years, he was a member and team captain of the Macon Super Senior Tennis League.

One of his proudest and most enjoyable achievemen­ts was coaching Little League Baseball in the Vine-Ingle League.

Mr. Willingham was King of the 1952 Chattanoog­a Cotton Ball and a Charter Member of the Lookout Mountain Baptist Church. He was a past member of the Idle Hour Country Club in Macon and the Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain.

Mr. Willingham was predecease­d by his wife of 63 years, Blanche Mallary Willingham and son-in-law, Tommy Veale.

He is survived by his children, Mallary Veale, of Watkinsvil­le, Ga., Jay Willingham Jr. (Evy), of Macon, and Mary Emily Vezina (Mike), of Brentwood, Tenn.; seven grandchild­ren, Matthew Vezina, Michael Vezina, Emily Vezina, Mac Veale, Kathryn Veale, Caroline Willingham Letson (Corey), and Calder Willingham (Jennifer); two great-grandchild­ren, Zoey Willingham, Nora Willingham, and Baby Letson, who is on the way ; sister, Mary Martin (Jim), of Lookout Mountain; and brother, Guy Willingham (Neenah), of Birchwood, Tenn.

Johnny Wayne Wortham

Professor Johnny Wayne Wortham, departed this life on Sept. 26, 2016.

A native of Jackson, Tenn., Johnny was born on April 4, 1947, to Johnny and Bernice Wortham.

A graduate of Merry High School in 1965, Johnny entered Union University and later joined the United States Air Force, where he served until 1970 as an Aircraft Radio Technician with the rank of Staff Sergeant. His tour of duties included Bien Hoa, Vietnam and the Philippine­s.

While serving in Bien Hoa, Vietnam he continued his studies as a correspond­ence student at the University Of Maryland and Cleveland Institute of Electronic­s, from which he earned certificat­es in Electronic­s Technology.

Following his military service, Johnny attended Memphis State University, where he earned a B.S. degree in Electronic­s Technology (1972), M.S. in Technical Education (1973) and a M.S. in Electrical Engineerin­g (1974).

Johnny is the author of laboratory manuals on digital circuits and microcompu­ter systems used by the Computer Engineerin­g Technology Department at State Technical Institute and at other technical institutes around the country. He retired after 35 1/2 years, as a Professor of Electronic­s Technology from Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis, Tenn.

In 1989 Johnny founded SherTek Incorporat­ed, a computer engineerin­g company that produced OMNI-VOTE, a wireless voting system. His patented design was awarded contracts for 129 machines from National Institutes of Health’s Division of Research Grants in Bethesda, Md. He developed computer software for the Memphis City Council that helped to streamline the voting process.

He received the Air Force Commendati­on Medal and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America (Chapter 203.)

He was a member of the Tennessee Education Associatio­n; and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic­s Engineers. He is listed in the 1977 Outstandin­g Young Men of America.

He is survived by his loving and devoted family, his wife of 42 years, Sherry Ann (Fuller) Wortham; daughters, Angela Bernice Collins (John), of Fort Wayne, Ind., April Christine Morris (Jamal), of Chattanoog­a, and Amanda Kathleen Wortham, of Asheboro, N.C.; five grandchild­ren, Kayla and Kristine Morris, Nicholas, Isabella, and Gabriella Collins; four sisters Dr. Anne Wortham. of Normal, Ill., and Rev. Patricia Smith (Johnny), of Florence, Ala., Wonderful Wortham, of Memphis, Tenn., and Praise Wortham, of Durham, N.C.; sister in law, Crystal Fields (Tim and Kevin Fields), of Memphis, Tenn.; and four brothers Commander Willie Wortham, U.S. Navy (Lois) of Providence, R.I., Walter Wortham (Clarice) of Fairfield, Alabama, Lamont Wortham (Valerie), of Indianapol­is, Ind., and Thank Wortham, of Jackson, Tenn., and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at Noon at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with Minister Jamal Morris delivering the eulogy.

CLEVELAND — Leon D. “Lee” Morgan, 77, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born Nov. 12, 1938, in Ooltewah, to the late Evans and Lem Morgan.

He attended Meadow View Elementary and graduated from Ooltewah High School.

He served in the United States Air Force from 19631967, where he was stationed in South Dakota and Germany.

He worked and retired after 32 years of service from the TNT Plant in Chattanoog­a.

He was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist church but was unable to attend in the last few years due to being the caregiver of his loving wife and sister.

He loved Christ, his family, and his church family. Through the years, he enjoyed being a little league baseball coach.

He loved sports and nothing made him happier than watching his son and grandson play. He also loved working in the garden and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy Morgan, Doc Morgan, Jack Morgan and Harry Morgan; and sisters, Lillie Mae Farrior and Mary Lee Morgan.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Geraldine “Jerri” Morgan; his son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Kelley Morgan; his grandson and wife, B. J. and Dena’ Morgan; two great-grandsons, Cal and Beau Morgan, all of Cleveland; sisters, Viola Morgan, of Ooltewah, Bessie (Leon) Lowe, of Cleveland, and Joyce (Ronnie) Harden, of McDonald; and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Leon Herbert Shealy Sr.

CLEVELAND — Leon Herbert Shealy, Sr., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at the family residence.

He was born Jan. 4, 1925, in Batesburg, S.C., and was the eldest son of W. Kline and Nanny Shealy.

He was a long time member of First Lutheran Church in Cleveland, Tenn., and served as an elder of the church.

He formed and played football and rode his horse as transporta­tion through high school.

He attended Clemson University until WW II broke out and he enlisted into the navy and served in the south pacific. After the war he continued his education and graduated from Clemson with a degree in engineerin­g.

He met his wife of 62 years, Louise Bennett, while working at Amelia Island. He moved to Tennessee in 1953 with his wife during constructi­on of Bowater and fell in love with the area. He was employed with Bowater until his retirement of 35 years.

He raised 3 children, Herb, Cynthia, and Mike Shealy and was blessed with 9 grandchild­ren and 7 great-grandchild­ren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Bennett Shealy; his parents, Wilbur Kline Shealy and Nanny Lorick Shealy; brother, Haskell Lorick Shealy; son, John Michael Shealy.

He is survived by his two children: Herb Shealy, Jr. and Cynthia Shealy Clarke and husband, David; nine grandchild­ren: Ann Shealy Schatzman and husband, Scott, Leslie Ann Shealy Reed and husband, Lynn, James Corey Shealy and wife, Melanie, Mallory Louise Shealy, Hannah Louise Clarke, Rachel Elizabeth Clarke, Sally Michelle Shealy, Hailey Victoria Shealy, and Natalie Eliza Shealy; seven great-grandchild­ren: Jacob Alan Schatzman, Samuel Asher Schatzman, Cole Shealy, Emma Shealy, Kaelyn Reed, Mycah Reed, and Autumn Reed; one sister, Kathleen Shealy Are and husband, William; one brother, Ellis Brandt Shealy and wife, Elaine.

RINGGOLD — Larry “Matthew” Mooney, 33, passed away Tuesday Sept. 27, 2016.

A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area and attended Liberty Baptist Church. Matt was a 2001 graduate of Ringgold High School.

He was also 20 year Tae Kwon Do student of Rick Hall and achieved a 4th Degree Black Belt.

He loved his children, was a hard worker and had a big heart.

He was preceded in death by his grandparen­ts, Frank and Edna Mooney and Joe Young.

He is survived by his fiancé, Brooke Jones Smith; parents, Larry and Carolyn Mooney, all of Ringgold, Ga.; children, Damien, Stryker, and Slade Mooney; step daughter, Skylar Smith; sister, Brandy (James) Leonard, of Ringgold, Ga.; grandmothe­r, Tossie Young of Rock Spring; aunt, Debbie Griffith, of Hixson; nieces; Cheyanne Kunkle and Jordan Leonard.

Marlin Stayton Russell

LaFAYETTE — Marlin Stayton Russell, 84, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, surrounded by his family.

He served in the Korean conflict and was awarded several medals; he was very proud of his service.

He worked for Riegel Textile (Mt. Vernon Mills) for 48 years.

Marlin served as deacon for over 50 years serving Bethel Memorial Baptist Church, Foster Mill Baptist Church, and Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

He was vital in the founding of the Walker County Fire Department Station 15 south of LaFayette, and was one of the station’s first volunteer firefighte­rs serving the community for many years.

He was an avid baseball fan playing alongside his brothers, for the Sam Wilson Waco Team in Tennessee and Georgia. The team won state tournament­s, trophies and many awards.

His love for the game could be seen through his coaching of baseball and girl softball.

Marlin was a member of the Optimist Club and loved to travel.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Betty June Tumlin Russell; parents, Henry and Della Sharp Russell; daughter, Dana Kaye Hatcher; sister, Betty Eicchorn; and brothers, Barney, Carl and Robert Russell.

Marlin is survived by daughters, Nelda June Russell Smith and Lana (Randy) Visage, all of LaFayette; sons, Kyle Marlin Russell, of LaFayette and Kevin Stayton Russell, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; sister, Ann Clifton; brothers, Claude Russell, J.W. (Peggy) Russell, Albert Russell, and Kenneth Russell; grandchild­ren, Marla York, Nathan Martin, Trey (Kim) Parrish, Nicole Duckett, Jessica Visage, and Isaac McDonald; seven great-grandchild­ren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Joyce Martin.
