New equine friendly development up and coming in North Hamilton County

- BY BRANDI DIXON

It’s rare to find gorgeous property combined with convenient location, but that’s exactly what potential buyers and builders can expect of Highgate Development in North Hamilton County. Located just off Highway 111 near Soddy-Daisy, the new upscale community has 22 lots with 7 already sold.

“Lot sizes vary from 5-12 acres each,” explained owner and developer Bill Sanders with Castlewood Properties. “We have a beautiful background with one side settled on a brow, waterfalls, and the quaint Board Creek that separates us and the Cumberland Trail.”

Sanders went on to share that the development is equine friendly allowing owners to have up to two horses per 5 acres. There’s also a 2.5 mile nature riding and walking trail that wraps all the way around the development. The creek onsite also leads to a large pool and another trail that circles around the bluff where the development ends at a beautiful waterfall.

“It offers upscale living in a private setting,” Sanders said.

Lot prices start at $59,500 and currently range up to $69,500. For a short time, buyers can take advantage of owner financing as well. There are some protective restrictions, but they are not restrictive, and there’s no time limit on building.

Castlewood Properties is a developer of commercial and large lot developments with more than 30 years experience. Sanders’ background is in design and city planning, and he’s developed all over the southeast. At Castlewood Properties, they understand the importance of making sure buyers are incredibly happy with their site and its value as a long-term investment.

By doing more than just selling land and working as a partner, Castlewood does what they can to make the venture succeed.
