HCEMS donates to Mary Ellen Locher Breast Center at Memorial
Employees of Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services wore pink shirts as part of their official uniform during the annual campaign for breast cancer awareness. The campaign celebrates the life of local television personality Mary Ellen Locher, who courageously fought the disease and brought awareness of breast cancer to the forefront in the Hamilton County community.
HCEMS staff and Hamilton County employees supported the cause by purchasing and wearing the shirts. From sales this year, HCEMS donated $5,755 to the Mary Ellen Locher Breast Center of Excellence at CHI Memorial Hospital to assist those with breast cancer and their families and to help in the efforts of finding a cure for this devastating disease.
