Women’s groups plan to host candidate forum

Chattanooga Times Free Press - - OBITUARIES -

The League of Women Voters of Chattanooga will partner with the Chattanooga chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women to host a candidate forum for Hamilton County’s Primary Election in May. All candidates have been invited to participate. It will be moderated by retired educator Edna Varner, who currently works for the Public Education Foundation and is involved in community service in Chattanooga.

The forum will take place March 26 at Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church, 1734 E. Third St., from 5-7:30 p.m.

The political candidate forum will operate with standing rules for all participants, which will limit the length of introductions, opening and closing statements, and responses to questions so that everyone may have time to speak. The audience will be able to submit questions.

The forum will be nonpartisan.
