Sig­nal Cen­ters names Slocumb for fundrais­ing

Sig­nal Cen­ters, Inc. has named Mike Slocumb as its se­nior de­vel­op­ment of­fi­cer re­spon­si­ble for over­see­ing the agency’s planned giv­ing, en­dow­ment and fundrais­ing for spe­cific pro­gram needs.

Slocumb re­cently re­tired from United Way of Greater Chat­tanooga where he was vice pres­i­dent of re­source de­vel­op­ment for seven years. Slocumb spent the ma­jor­ity of his ca­reer in the tex­tile busi­ness as ex­ec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent for Dixie Yarns and R.L. Stowe Co.

Slocumb earned an ac­count­ing de­gree from the Univer­sity of Mis­sis­sippi and com­pleted the Univer­sity of Vir­ginia’s Ex­ec­u­tive Pro­gram.

“Mike adds a depth of ex­per­tise and ex­pe­ri­ence to our al­ready strong de­vel­op­ment team. I know he will help build even more sup­port for the amaz­ing work that Sig­nal Cen­ters pro­grams pro­vide to chil­dren, adults, fam­i­lies, pro­fes­sion­als, and com­mu­nity mem­bers,” Sig­nal Cen­ters CEO Donna McCon­nico said.
