FEED CO. PREPS FOR A Big Summer

-

On Aug. 2, FEED Co. Table & Tavern is celebrating four big years — with an even bigger party.

Every year since its opening, FEED Co. has raised the bar on its birthday celebrations.

Through events held for FEED’s grand opening and each of its anniversaries, the restaurant has helped raise funds for the Tennessee River Gorge Trust, a local land trust dedicated to preserving the river gorge. Amid live bluegrass music and farmfresh specials, the trust has set up a table at each of the events to share its mission and recruit volunteers, with FEED Co. donating 10 percent of the event days’ total proceeds to the organization.

And every year, there has been more live music, more specials and a bigger turnout.

In addition to the festivities in the main restaurant, FEED Co. will host a second, more exclusive party this year in its private, on-site event space — which debuted last year and features its own entrance, bar, menu and patio. The private affair, also a fundraiser for the river gorge trust, will be for ticket-holders only.

But that isn’t all FEED has planned for its fouryear celebration. The party is scheduled for just after the ribbon-cutting event planned for FEED’s sister restaurant, Parkway Pourhouse, which is located on Riverside Drive in a space with an atmosphere described by co-owner Miguel Morales as, “a tavern-feel with a strong New Orleans influence.”

Indeed, the party is just getting started.
