Three share lead at Web.com tourney

BOISE, Idaho — Brett Drewitt shot an 8-under-par 63 Friday for a share of the lead with Sangmoon Bae and Alex Prugh in the Albertsons Boise Open, the third of four Web. com Tour Finals events.

Two-time PGA Tour winner Bae had a 67, and Prugh shot a 65 to match Drewitt at 10-under 132 at Hillcrest Country Club. Fabian Gomez (68) and Henrik Norlander (67) were a stroke back.

Prugh earned a PGA Tour card with a top-25 finish on the Web.com Tour’s regular-season money list. He made $23,143 in the first two events in Ohio to jump from 18th to 12th on the list.

Bae and Drewitt are fighting to earn PGA Tour cards by finishing in the top 25 on the series money list.

Roberto Diaz (66) and Max Homa (66) were tied for sixth at 8 under. First-round leader David Skinns followed his opening 64 with a 72 and was tied for 18th.

Chattanoog­a’s Stephan Jaeger shot his second straight 69 and was tied for 38th.

Athens, Tennessee, native Eric Axley shot a second straight 71 and missed the cut, which was at 2 under.

Jobe on top early

GRAND BLANC, Mich. — Brandt Jobe capped a fast start with an eagle in tour

golf’s return to Warwick Hills, shooting a 7-under 65 to take the first-round lead in The Ally Challenge.

Jobe played his first seven holes in 6 under, making the eagle on the par-5 16th. A sixtime winner on the Japanese tour, he won last year in Iowa for his lone PGA Tour Champions title.

Vijay Singh, a three-time winner at Warwick Hills in the PGA Tour’s defunct Buick Open, was a stroke back with Jeff Maggert and Esteban Toledo. Tiger Woods won the last Buick Open in 2009.

Tom Lehman was at 67 with

Paul Broadhurst, Lee Janzen, David McKenzie and David Toms.

Ooltewah’s Gibby Gilbert III (70) was tied for 24th.

Torres playing well

EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France — LPGA Tour rookie Maria Torres had a share of the lead after two rounds in her second major tournament. Top-ranked Sung Hyun Park, a two-time major winner, has the weekend off.

Torres, 23 and the first Puerto Rican to earn an LPGA Tour card, shot a 2-under 69 before Amy Olson (65) and Mo Martin (66) of the United States and South Korea’s Mi Hyang Lee (66) matched her 8-under 134 total for 36 holes.

Park (71) started and finished play Friday at 6 over at the sun-soaked Evian Resort Golf Club and missed the cut by three shots.

Olson had seven birdies and secured a share of the lead with an 18-foot par-saving putt on the 18th. Lee made an eagle at her final hole, the par-5 ninth.

One shot back, Carlota Ciganda carded a 70 to follow a 65 that only Torres equaled Thursday.

Wu still leading

SPIJK, Netherland­s — China’s Ashun Wu birdied his first two holes on the way to a 5-under 66 as he took a threeshot lead into the weekend at the KLM Open.

Wu’s round followed a bogey-free 64 in the opening round and put him at 12-under 130.

England’s Jonathan Thomson was in second after a 64 with 10 birdies and three bogeys. Thomson reeled off seven birdies as he started on the back nine to match the lowest nine-hole score of the European Tour season.

Scotland’s David Drysdale (65) and China’s Haotong Li (66) were tied for third at 8 under.
