Wife of town’s police chief arrested
The wife of an Alabama town’s police chief is free following her arrest on a felony burglary charge.
AL.com reported the State Bureau of Investigation arrested 40-year-old Angela Martin Fulmer on third-degree burglary on Wednesday. She is the wife of Jemison Police Chief Shane Fulmer, who was appointed chief in 2009.
Fulmer was booked into the Chilton County Jail and released on her own recognizance Wednesday evening. It was unknown if she’s represented by an attorney.
Fulmer works in the office of the Chilton County Revenue Commissioner and is a parttime court reporter.
According to charging documents, the alleged crime happened Jan. 31. Few details have been released. The warrant does not say where the burglary occurred or what was taken.
A preliminary hearing is set for March 13.
