Morning Pointe names managers

Morning Pointe Senior Living and Independen­t Healthcare Properties in Ooltewah announced four management appointmen­ts.

Aaron Barthle was promoted to vice president of Informatio­n Technology. Since 2011, Barthle has worked for Morning Pointe in an informatio­n technology capacity as a founding member of Morning Pointe’s IT team. A graduate of Southern Adventist University, Barthle oversees a team of technology profession­als that provide technology services and support for all of Morning Pointe’s communitie­s.

Lauren Lee, another Southern Adventist University alumna and a certified pubic accountant, will assume the role of vice president of culture and talent. Lee has been with Morning Pointe since 2009 and has served the company’s corporate office in a variety of roles, beginning as an intern and continuing in her career in purchasing, budgets, accounting, and operationa­l support as well as career growth training.

Mary Beth Watson, formerly of Brookdale Senior Living, will join the team as Area Director of Operations for the Cumberland Area based in Nashville. Over the course of her 20-year career, Watson assumed a variety of roles, including Memory Care and Resident Services Director, and Regional Director of Operations as well as Divisional Director of Service Alignment and Resident Solutions, overseeing the company’s e-commerce platform. A graduate of St. Petersburg College in Seminole, Florida, Watson is currently pursuing a Business Administra­tion degree at Austin Peay University.

Mandy Taylor, a registered nurse and and former Regional Vice President for the Bluegrass Region of Morning Pointe, will fill the role of senior vice president of clinical services. She is a graduate of Midway College in Midway, Kentucky and served as director of profession­al services for a home health agency, Director of Nursing in skilled nursing facility, and as a direct patient care giver in medical-surgical nursing and mental health settings. In her role as senior vice president of clinical services, Taylor will help ensure that Morning Pointe’s clinical policies and procedures are effective and uniform and will help Morning Pointe create innovative clinical products and services.
