Nevalene Greene

Nevalene Bain (Nieva) Greene, 85, of Hixson, Tenn. went home to be with her Savior on Feb. 11, 2019 and was laid to rest on Feb. 14, 2019.

Nieva was born in Haywood County, Tenn. and had been a longtime resident of Hixson where she was a faithful member of Grace Bible Church. Also, among being a blessing to her family and many others she loved being a grandmother and studying her Bible.

She attended Moody Bible Institute, Blue Mountain College, and graduated from Tennessee Temple University. Too, was a homemaker; worked for the City Directory; and the Chattanooga Bible Institute.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Versey Bain; her husband, Ralph Greene; and her brother, Lynn Bain.

She is survived by her son, Ivan Greene; her daughters, Phyllis Greene and Carol Taylor (Jamey); her grandchildren, Alyssa and Zachary Taylor; her sister-in-law, Barbara Bain; brother, Mack Bain (Glenda); brother, Donald Bain (Raine); and a few nephews; a niece; and a few cousins.

Pallbearers were Donald Bain, Tracy Bain, Jamey and Zachary Taylor, Peter Cory, and Manny Monzon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Grace Bible Church, 3827 Hixson Pike, Chattanooga, Tenn. 37415; Focus on The Family; or Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation.
