RINGGOLD — James E. “Ed” Holsomback – 85, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019.

He was born on Nov. 11, 1933, in Graysville, Ga., to the late Roy Holsomback, Sr. and Alice Brown Holsomback.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judi Hamill; two brothers, Roy Holsomback, Jr., Marvin Holsomback; and grandson-in-law, Jason Didicher.

Ed attended Graysville Elementary, Ringgold High School and Walker Tech. He retired after many years of service from U.S. Pipe and Mueller Company in Chattanoog­a.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary Frances Holsomback; daughter, Phyllis (Mike) Horten; brother, Donnie (Pat) Holsomback, all of Ringgold, Ga.; brother, Jerry (Carolyn) Holsomback, of Chattanoog­a, Tenn.; sister, Shirley (Irv) Roth, of Melbourne, Fla.; five grandchild­ren, Angela Didicher, Jeff (Allyson) Cornell, Dewayne (Elyse) Hamill, Marcie Sink, Chris (Katie) Horten, nine great-grandchild­ren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanoog­a Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Mabe officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Graysville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, at the funeral home.
