- STAFF REPORT

Lauren Alaina will make her first appearance on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” tonight. The country singer, who hails from Rossville, Georgia, will perform her current single, “Ladies in the ’90s.”

The reigning ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year co-wrote the song with Jesse Frasure and Amy Wadge. The upbeat tune describes the influence of female singers of the 1990s on Alaina’s childhood years. She includes nods to Alanis Morissette, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Madonna, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain and more.

Alaina is currently on one of the hottest country tours of the year, opening for Blake Shelton on his Friends and Heroes Tour. “Late Night with Seth Meyers” airs at 12:35 a.m. on WRCB-TV Channel 3.
