CUMMING — Kathleen Seymore Cooper, 94, of Cumming, Ga., formerly a resident of Red Bank, Tenn., passed away on April 21, 2019. She was born in Fort Payne, Ala., to the late George and Zelma Seymore.

Kathleen was a loving mother and grandmothe­r. She was a member and taught classes at her beloved Red Bank Baptist Church for 60 years. She retired from the Electric Power Board of Chattanoog­a after 25 years of service. Kathleen was an avid and lifelong member of the Business and Profession­al Women’s Club and was President of the Tennessee State Associatio­n in 1984. She was also a member of the Mission Ridge Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Don R. Cooper; twin sister, Pauline McClure and sister, Margie Seymore; brothers, O.L. “Jack” Seymour, Harry Seymore and Mitchell Seymour.

She is survived by her son, Bruce (Judy) Cooper, of Cumming, Ga.; grandson, Nicholas (Julie) Cooper, of Lawrencevi­lle, Ga.; granddaugh­ter, Carrie (Terry) Knecht, of Chattanoog­a; five beloved great-grandchild­ren, Cooper, Carson, Caroline, Wyatt, and Kate; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chattanoog­a Funeral Home, North Chapel and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Harvey and Terry Knecht officiatin­g. Interment to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
