Martin Boyd offers all inclusive assisted living

- BY BRANDI DIXON

If you or an aging loved one are looking at assisted living facilities, Martin Boyd Christian Home offers exceptional care and accommodations. Director of Admissions Brooke Steele shared that the group is always ready and willing to assist families and help clients make the best possible decision when it comes to looking into assisted care.

“For one monthly fee, our residents receive three meals a day, all laundry, all housekeeping, overseeing and administering all medications and assistance with daily living needs such as bathing and dressing,” Steele shared. “We usually have activities seven days a week that include anything from lunch outings, to bingo, and crafts, and church services.”

Resident rooms are private and spacious and offer a bedroom with closet space, and bathroom with a linen closet. Residents can have plenty comfort while also getting the care they need. Amenities are vast as well including maintenance, all utilities (except cable and phone, but hookups are available), beauty and barber shop, an area for family functions, and beautifully landscaped courtyards with sidewalks for strolling and benches for seating.

Events are in no short supply either ranging from shopping trips and lunch outings to wellness checks and gardening.

“You can view our monthly calendar online anytime and see that we all stay busy and have a lot of fun,” Steele said.

Steele also stressed that residents have all their needs met, and their family can rest assured knowing that nothing is getting overlooked or added on.

“Our fees are designed so that people can budget appropriately, and we truly do not have any additional fees for care,” she said.

When families are ready to call Martin Boyd home, personalizing their space is key, and residents are encouraged to bring as many family momentos as they like. From family portraits and knick knacks to favorite paintings or keepsakes that they have created or loved ones have done on their behalf, Steele said they can take making the space their own as far as they like to ensure everything around them says “welcome home.”

Furthermore, families are very important to the team at Martin Boyd, and they work to that end to provide special events to bring not only residents together with each other as family, but also individual families to keep them connected. The facility recently hosted their annual Mother’s Day Tea Party, and they look forward to a similar event to celebrate Father’s Day where residents can invite their loved ones and have a special time.

Potential residents and families can schedule a tour of Martin Boyd with Steele or another staff member where they can answer any questions that they may have as well as go over rates and next steps in the process at that time without any obligation.

“We just want everyone to feel welcome and as at ease as possible as they settle in,” she added.
