Microneedling: procedure, results, and benefits

- BY BRANDI DIXON

Summer is the time for fun in the sun, but not always the right time to do treatments such as lasers and chemical peels. However, the one treatment that you can do year-round is Microneedling! With that in mind, the professionals at Center for Facial Rejuvenation are sharing facts about Microneedling and how it will improve your complexion!

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that stimulates collagen and skin tissue production for smoother, firmer, and more toned skin. The results are amazing, and provide a healthy glow to your complexion. It’s virtually painless since a topical numbing cream is applied to the area being treated and doesn’t require much, if any, downtime.

Growth Factor serum is incorporated into the treatment for optimized outcomes. “Growth Factors are one of the best active ingredients for skin rejuvenation and helps with the recovery time,” said Christie Dean & Melody Richt, Licensed Aestheticians. “Growth factors essentially communicate with your cells, prompting them to generate more collagen and elastin, which keeps skin smooth and firm for a healthy, youthful glow.”

“If you struggle with acne scaring, sun damage, uneven complexion, fine lines, wrinkles, and skin that isn’t as tight as it used to be, we’d love for you to come in for a complimentary consultation,” said Christie & Melody.

As with any service at Center for Facial Rejuvenation, clients interested in the procedure will meet with one of their highly skilled providers to go over their skin goals and provide the best regimen to help achieve their desired results.

During your complimentary consultation, you will receive a Visia Complexion Analysis. With this technology, they are able to create a baseline of your skin and facial features that is used to educate and develop a treatment plan just for you.

An individual Microneeding treatment takes about an hour. Clients have the option to purchase a physical based sunscreen for post care; which the center offers. Side effects are minimal and may range from minor redness, irritation, and/or dryness for a few days following the session.

Microneedling can also be paired with other treatments and or products to achieve optimized results. We call this combination therapy. Licensed Aestheticians often recommend combination treatment therapy to address client’s primary concerns in the initial consultation and will continue to assess your outcomes along your journey.

And if you’re wondering who qualifies for Microneedling, the Center for Facial Rejuvenation team can help with that too:

“Typically, we recommend Microneedling to our clients

who are in good health and looking to restore their youthful skin complexion, improve slight scarring (often due to acne or aging), minimize pore size or fine lines,” said Christie & Melody. “While we do not recommend this procedure for clients who have had radiation therapy or are pregnant/ nursing, we encourage those interested to come in for a free consultation to see if Microneedling is right for them.”
