Pat Tucker

-

Patricia Anne “Pat” Pritchett Tucker of Signal Mountain, Tennessee passed away on June 11th at the age of 76. She was born in Chattanooga on August 31st, 1943.

Pat was a 1961 graduate of Central High School, where the everlasting bond with her high school sweetheart Fowler began. She devoted her entire life to her family, working tirelessly to build a loving home for her husband and two sons and always placing them above her own needs. As her sons grew, the Tucker house became a constant gathering place for dozens of her sons’ friends. Pat welcomed them all with a caring and warmth that left life-long impressions.

Pat’s four grandchildren became her greatest treasure, as she took every opportunity to love and support them from infancy to adulthood. “Grandmother,” as they called her, showered them with care, preparing special meals and always having their favorite treats on hand. She frequently took them on outings to the aquarium, museums and playgrounds. Her loving arms will always be around them.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Fowler Tucker, and sons Elbert (Janice) Tucker of Nashville and Eric (Julie) Tucker of Chattanooga. Grandchildren include Faith Tucker of Nashville, Brett (Chris) Roper of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Reed Tucker of Cincinnati, Ohio and Luke Tucker of Chattanooga.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arch Pritchett, mother Alma Pritchett and sister Delores Pritchett.

Countless ailing people will benefit from her generous donation of life-giving organs.

Visitation will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel at 404 South Moore Road on Sunday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Graveside services will be held Monday at Noon at the hilltop pavilion of Chattanooga Memorial Park, 501 Memorial Dr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice.
