James H. Crouch Sr.

James Crouch, 94, passed away on August 30, 2020. He was a WWII veteran; he worked at Independent Paint and Glass for many years in Chattanooga, and owned and retired from Dayton Glass Company. He was a Mason for 60 years at the Daisy Lodge #706 F&AM , he loved his family and friends, he loved to tinker on lawn mowers and he was always ready to help anyone in need.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Taylor Crouch and Mary Ada Crouch; wife, Rebecca Elizabeth (Honsey) Crouch; son, James H. Crouch, Jr. (Jimmy); and grandson, Ari Shane Hughes.

Survivors are his daughters, Becky (Randy) Williams and Linda (John) Hughes; daughter-in -law, Loraine Crouch; grandchildren, Renee Crouch, Randall (Crystal) Crouch, Chris (Elizabeth) Williams, Taria (Jerry) Thomas, Dalene (Jason) Helton, John “Jonathan” Hughes III; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Isabella Crouch, Kourtany, Katelynne, and Victoria Butler, Ryan Crowe, Kyle Millsaps, Dylan (Emily) Walls, Cassie Williams, Hunter Thomas, Dalton Thomas; great great grandchildren, Brentlee Akins, Asher Ruth, Leighton Williams, and Issac and Max Walls.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the funeral home. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Rev. Ronnie Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
