Manufacturing survey
A Fed survey is expected to show today that manufacturing activity in New York state increased this month.
Economists project that the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Empire State Manufacturing Index will show a reading of 13 for October, down from 17 the previous month. The index has been showing expansion in manufacturing activity this summer after a sharp contraction in March, April and May due to the economic fallout from the pandemic.
