Chattanoog­a police ask public’s help to solve 2016 double homicide

The Chattanoog­a Police Department and cold case unit, along with the Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office, are turning to the public for informatio­n about a 2016 double homicide, according to a news release from the DA’s office.

Chattanoog­a police found George Dillard and Lakita Hicks shot to death inside a home on the 2100 block of East 13th Street on Jan. 31, 2016. A young boy there had called 911 and said his parents had been shot and killed and he needed help.

Investigat­ors have recently obtained informatio­n pointing them toward a potential suspect, but help is still needed from the community to solve the case, the release states. Officials did not state what informatio­n they obtained or publicly identify a person of interest.
