She was a graduate of Howard High School. She retired from GE Electric Company in Lorain, Ohio. Doris was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonvil­le, Florida. Ronald Timothy Ullenberg, , of Hixson passed away on :ednesday, October 1 , 2020, in Memorial Hospital, with his wife, Sheila, at his side. He was born in Buffalo, New ork, to Thomas H. Ullenberg and Viola E. Ullenberg, where his father and uncle, John Ullenberg, had a jewelry manufactur­ing business. Ron attended Georgia Tech University where he played shortstop on the baseball team. He graduated with a degree in aeronautic­al engineerin­g and entered into a career with aircraft manufactur­ing companies. Later he came home to work for the family jewelry business. The Ullenberg family moved the business to Chattanoog­a in the early fifties. They establishe­d a plant in North Chattanoog­a, Ullenberg Corporatio­n, which eventually grew to over 200 employees. They manufactur­ed fine jewelry and sold diamond rings under their trade name Forever ours . After leaving the jewelry business Ron and Sheila purchased the franchise for Champion Cleaners. For 2 years, they operated two locations for several years, and today operate the store on Signal Mountain Road. Ron was an avid golfer, and at different times was a member of the Honors, Chattanoog­a Golf and Country Club, Valleybroo­k Golf and Country Club, and Signal Mountain Golf and Country Club. Ron was a very compassion­ate gentleman and worked tirelessly during his long life, with the love of his life Sheila, supporting many local and national charities. Siskin Hospital was his passion and also he had a deep affection and dedication to the arts; therefore, he continuall­y supported the Chattanoog­a Symphony and Opera. Because of his deep love for the unborn and young children, he actively supported the March of Dimes, chairing events to raise money for that organi ation and many others. Saint Jude Church was always central in his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Viola Ullenberg; son, Jeffery Ullenberg. Survivors include his wife of years, Sheila A.
