Tangela Johnson, president and CEO of North Georgia Corporate Consulting, will serve as the 2021 chair of the Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute board of directors.

She was previously appointed by former Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal to serve on the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning Board and is also a Rotarian, Paul Harris Fellow and alumnus of the Leadership Georgia Program.
In addition to serving as the 2021 Board Chair for Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute, Johnson also currently serves as a board member for Siskin’s Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation. Previously, she served as a board member of the Rotary Club of Dalton, the Urban League of Chattanooga, Launch of Chattanooga, Co-Lab, and the Dalton Convention Center Board as vice-chairwoman. “Women should never feel the need to abdicate their power,” Johnson said. “Instead, they should embrace and mature it in ways that make the world better for them, their families and their communities. CWLI is here to equip women to do just that.”
CWLI has also added three new board members for 2021, including Frances Bayly, a data analyst at Tennessee Valley Authority; Erika Burnett, executive director of the Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga and Emily Elrod, founder and president of Workzbe.
