Buying into Chattanooga’s rental market
In the past five years, real estate investment firms outside Chattanooga have bought more than $400 million of apartment complexes, including 10 valued at $30 million or more.
1. The 283-unit Bluebird Row Apartments at the Chattanooga Choo Choo sold for $63.15 million in March 2020.
2. The 316-unit Parc 1346 apartments off Gunbarrel Road in East Brainerd sold for $46.8 million in December 2020.
3. The 308-unit Marina Pointe Apartments on Lake Shore Drive in Hixson were sold for $44.5 million in October 2020.
4. The Legends at White Oak in Collegedale sold for $41.8 million in September 2016.
5. The 318-unit Haven at Commons Park near Hamilton Place mall sold for $40.5 million in July 2017.
6. The 260-unit Hunters Point apartment complex in East Brainerd sold for $35.8 million in September 2019.
7. The 252-unit Shallowford Apartment Homes in East Brainerd sold for $32 million in July 2019.
8. The 269-unit Riverview Grande apartments sold for $31 million in May 2019
9. The 232-unit Cross Creek Villas off Highway 58 sold for $30.1 million in March 2020
10. The 280-unit Rise at Signal Mountain apartment complex on Mountain Creek Road sold for $30 million in January 2020.
