Robert Nelson Sr.

Robert Ernest Lee Nelson, Sr., 83, passed away on April 5, 2021.

Robert served his country in the Army National Guard. He worked for Industrial Rubber and Safety for many years, and eventually retired from Food Liner where he was a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanie Lee Nelson and his mother, Sarah JoAnn Edwards.

Left behind to cherish Robert’s memory are his children, Robert L. Nelson, Jr., LaJeana Dove, his adopted daughter, Brandy Nicole, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, adopted granddaughter, Maddie, brother, Jimmy Edwards, sister, Gail Long, and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Robert’s Life and visitation will be held privately for family and close friends. Robert will be laid to rest in the Lomenick Cemetery.

We respectfully request that all current mandates set forth by the CDC and the Hamilton County Health Department be adhered to. This includes “social distancing” and wearing masks at all times while on the premises.
