Shannon W. Stewart, 83, passed away on April 4, 2021. He was born in Pierce, West Virginia on August 2, 1937, to the late Shannon and Margarite (Warnick) Stewart. Shannon was a proud Navy veteran, and he retired from Stow Public Schools with 23 years of service. He was a member of the Cornerston­e Apostolic Church in Chattanoog­a, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; sons, Jeff and Darin; and grandchild­ren, Randi, Corey, Cameron, and Colter.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 8, from 3:00-4:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland, Tennessee. A Celebratio­n of Life will be held at Companion Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 pm.

Bo was preceded in death by his parents William Henry Murray and Rachael Scott Murray. Also preceded in death by his siblings, Billie Glass, Tate Murray and Peggy Hughes.

He is survived by his most loving wife of 70 years, Eileen Allison Murray. He is also survived by his daughter Gloria Murray Smith and her husband Randy. His granddaugh­ters are Allison Smith Gadd and her husband Josh and Kathryn Smith Trimble and her husband Arch Trimble IV. His great-grandchild­ren are Kate and Hunter Gadd and Arch V and Baker Trimble.

A graveside service will be held at the Rocky Springs cemetery in Bridgeport, AL at 3:00 CDT on Wednesday April 7, 2021. Pallbearer­s are Josh Gadd, Arch Trimble and nephews Jim Hughes, Murray Hughes, Bill Murray and Mikey Feher.

The family gives much love and thanks to Angie Hicks who has given so much love and care to our family. Memorial contributi­ons may be made to Martin-Boyd Christian Home, 6845 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanoog­a, TN 37421.
