Dennis Moon

BIRCHWOOD - Denny Moon, age 72, departed this life on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his home.

Born on April 29, 1948 to the late Paul and Pauline Lawson Moon, he was a lifelong resident of Birchwood and was a member of Birchwood Church of God. Denny retired from Dupont in 2004 and had a passion for farming, raising cattle and horses, going to wagon trains and enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deonne Cameron.

Left behind to cherish Denny’s memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Bonnie Rogers Moon; children and spouses, Davy and Patty Moon, Jennifer Moon, Kimberly and James Gossett, and Brian and Jennifer Moon; grandchildren and spouses, Bridget and Colton Rose Cullen and Makayla DeBusk, Hattie and Elijah Shaver, Cody Moon, Holland and Sage Moon, Sara and Bradley Goins Carrie and Zach Sneed, Morgan Orr and Travis, Nico and Stacie Morales, Richard Morales, Ryan and Catie Pierce, David Wade, Noah Showers, Hannah Showers, Austin Gossett, Aliiah Parton Devon Whaley; as well as sixteen great-grandchildren, and several extended family and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Dennis Allen Moon “Denny” will be held at 2p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Wright and Pastor Steven Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the McInturff Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11AM-2PM on Saturday prior to the funeral hour.
