Less turbulence ahead?

American Airlines reports its first-quarter results today.

Wall Street expects the company’s losses widened from a year ago and its revenue declined sharply. Last month, the company said bookings were running nearly back to pre-pandemic levels as more people get vaccinated. Still, large airlines like American depend on the return of high-fare business and international travelers, and nobody knows exactly when they will come back.
