Solid rebound?
Economists project orders for big-ticket manufactured goods rebounded in March after declining the previous month.
The Commerce Department is expected to report today that durable goods orders climbed 1.3% in March. That would follow a drop of 0.9% in February. Last month, the government’s preliminary estimate of March durable goods orders was for a 0.5% gain. Durable goods orders’ nine-month winning streak was broken in February, when severe winter storms raked much of the country.
