Jimmie West

Jimmie West, 82, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 with her husband and family by her side.

She passed away full of love and hope, trusting and following her Lord. She was a member of Rechoboth Baptist Church. Jimmie retired from the U.S. Postal service and served as a clerk at the Soddy-Daisy Post Office. She also worked at Soddy-Daisy High School in the office and at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home for many years. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Blanche Dodd; daughter, Patty Card Cagle and several siblings.

Survivors are her loving husband of 45 years, Gene West; children, Kim Noorbergen (Randy), Thatcher Card, Mary Sneed (Larry) and Chuck West; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Graham, Macky Dodd (Brenda); several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services will be on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Rechoboth Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Stewart officiating. She will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday at the church before the service. Burial will follow at Poe Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
