Local stocks decline

The value of all eight publicly traded companies headquartered in the Chattanooga area declined Monday, cutting the collective market value of the local companies by nearly $1 billion.

› U.S. Xpress Enterprises declined more than 3.5%, or 30 cents per share, to close at $8.21.

› Unum Group declined nearly 3.5%, or 94 cents per share, to close at $26.20.

› Mohawk Industries declined nearly

3%, or $5.54 per share, to close at $180.62.

› Astec Indutries declined 2.2%, or $1.29 per share, to close at $57.26.

› Covenant Logistics declind more than 2%, or 39 cents per share, to close at $18.71.

› Miller Industries declined more than 1.6%, or 62 cents per share, to close at $37.11.

› Dixie Group declined more than 1%, or 3 cents per share, to close at $2.95

› CBL & Associates declined more than 0.6% to close at 14 cents per share.
