Known lynchings in Hamilton County

There have been six known lynchings in Hamilton County. According to the Equal Justice Initiative, lynching was the most public form of terror and violence, largely leveled against Black people. The attacks, motivated by white supremacy, exploited communities of color and led to millions of Blacks fleeing the American South, where lynching was most prevalent.
