George Richardson (Rick) McInturff, age 79, passed away Saturday, April 30, after several years of declining health.

Rick was born in Chattanoog­a 2ctober 24, 1942, to George Llywellian McInturff and Mary Helen Richardson McInturff. Rick attended The McCallie School and graduated from Chattanoog­a High School, Class of 1961. He received his undergradu­ate degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanoog­a (then the University of Chattanoog­a), Class of 1966, and his graduate degree from The College of William & Mary School of Law, Class of 1974.

Rick was a practicing real estate attorney with Milligan Reynolds Guaranty Title Agency for over 40 years, much sought after for his expertise in the field and his wealth of knowledge of the Chattanoog­a area.

A long-time resident of Signal Mtn., he was an active member of Signal Crest United Methodist Church and the Chancel Choir for over 50 years.

In his younger years, Rick could be found most afternoons on the handball courts at the Downtown YMCA, and in later years he enjoyed many rounds of golf with good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Scott Hornsby McInturff and Sean Richardson McInturff, and sister Judy McInturff Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Hornsby McInturff.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, May 6, at 2:00 PM, at Chattanoog­a Memorial Park.
