Donald McKesson

Donald (Don) Leroy McKesson, 95 of Signal Mountain, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 24, 2022. He was born on September 5, 1927 in Miami, Florida.

In 1945, he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He graduated in 1950 from Auburn University (War Eagle) with a Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering. He met his bride, Martha Sue in Gadsden, Alabama and married in 1953. They moved to Miami, Florida and Don worked for Florida Power and Light for 36 years. He retired in 1989, they moved to Lake Wales and lived there for 10 years. In 1999, they moved to Signal Mountain where they enjoyed living, became very active members at Mount Carmel Baptist Church where Don served as a Deacon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue; his parents Harley D. and Ida E. McKesson; and his two brothers, Gordon and Albert McKesson.

He is survived by his children, Jim (Susan) McKesson, Pam (Ron) Patterson; grandchildren, Matthew (Summer) Humphry, Jared (Shelby) Humphry, and 4 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at Mount Carmel Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Rocky Bradford officiating.

Mr. McKesson will be laid to rest at the Chattanooga National Cemetery following the funeral service and military honors to be conducted.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at Mount
