JASPER - Anna Louise Parsons Colquette “Louise” died at home on (date). She was 93.Born on August 11, 1929, Louise was the only child of Harrison Lafayette Parsons and Silvia Grace Young, both of whom predecease­d her. She lived her early life in Scottsboro, Alabama.

She graduated from Stevenson High School in 1946 and married Kenneth Ferrell Colquette later that same year. Upon marriage, the couple moved to Tracy City, Tennessee.Her two children, Kenneth and Ronald were born in 1947 and 1949 respective­ly. She taught elementary school and served as the school librarian for twenty-nine years at what was then called Shook Elementary School in Tracy City.Following husband Ferrell’s death in 1988, she relocated to Jasper, Tennessee. Her major passion was travel. She was also a long-time volunteer at the Jasper Public Library, a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Tracy City and the McKendree United Methodist Church in Jasper.

She is Survived by her sons, Kenneth and Ronald (Deborah) Colquette, four grandchild­ren, Traci (Sean) Colquette McKeever, Cory (Kim) Colquette, Elizabeth Colquette Weaver, and Victoria (Jacob) Colquette Horsley and seven great grandchild­ren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. (CST) at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, TN with The Reverend Jeremy McMillian officiatin­g.

Ms. Colquette will be laid to rest at the Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jasper, Tn.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CST) prior to the funeral service in the funeral home chapel in Jasper.

The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers Patty Gravitt and Pat Shelton.
