Mamie Sherill

-

Mamie Sneed Sherill went to be with our Lord Jesus and her brother Matthew Sneed on February 7, 2023. She was 51 years young. Mamie was born and raised in Soddy Daisy, TN. She grew up bathing in the creeks and riding dirt bikes to the coke ovens. Sun tanning on the porch roof and adding lemon juice to her blonde hair. She loved the deep peace in the mountains and busy crowds of the big cities.

She was an avid reader. Her vocabulary and quick wit showed this fact. Mamie made friends so easy and would keep them for life. Her love of music, Carol King, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Fleetwood Mac, etc. was passed down to her boys Wes and Gage, in the most positive ways. She took them to concerts every chance she got. The right music can change your whole day. Her fur babies, Emmett, and Sophia were the most spoiled Dachshunds you would ever meet.

Mamie’s want to help others led to many hobbies in her adult life. Mamie cared deeply for people. She would gather necessities and deliver to the homeless. Mamie canned fresh vegetables and would give away all the jars. She made soaps and would give away all the bars. She raised chickens and gave away all the eggs. She made the most delicious jellies, and her friends always reaped the benefit. Her husband and best friend, Eric, would just laugh and help her make those deliveries. You see, Mamie was a selfless person. She made quiet but powerful impacts on others’ lives around her, and this truly made her happy.

Mamie is proceeded in death by her Paternal grandparents William “Bobby” Sneed (Robby) and Norma Helen Higgins. Maternal grandparents Sammy and Martha Jackson. Brother Matthew Sneed.

Survivors are husband Eric Sherrill. Sons Wesley Sherrill (Autumn Holland) and Gage Sherrill. Parents Blaine and Linda Sneed. Sister Rachel (Randall) Smith. Brother Sam Sneed (Chelsea). Nephews Jacob Smith (Kaylee), Joshua Smith, and Lucas Sneed. Her one and only niece Charlotte Sneed.

A celebration of her short but full life will be announced by her family in the coming days.
