Kenneth Emory Rogers was born November 14, 1954 in Portland, OR to Leroy and Donna Rogers. He passed to his rest on March 17, 2023 in Calhoun, GA. Ken was the oldest of 4 children with three younger sisters, Barbara, Sarah and Carrie and spent his early childhood in Aberdeen, WA.

He attended high school at Auburn Adventist Academy in Auburn, Washington and later matriculat­ed at Southern Missionary College, in Collegedal­e, TN, where he graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology.

After graduation, Ken interned in ministry in the Carolina Conference, then attended Andrews University where he received a Master of Divinity degree. He has ministered in the Carolinas, California, Tennessee, Washington State and most recently served as the Youth and Young Adult Ministries Director for the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

Ken is survived by his wife, Cheryl Rogers of Calhoun, 2 Sons: Brandon Rogers (Sara) of Seattle, WA and Brock Rogers of Covelo, CA as well as Stepson, Jeff Olson (Monica) of Claremont, CA, and Stepdaught­er Kristy Emery (Philip), of San Diego, CA. Ken also leaves behind his sisters, Barbara Rogers of Washougal, WA, Sarah Wood, of Greshem, OR and Carrie Glerum of Phoenix, AZ; Additional­ly, those who call him Pop Pop: Graeme Rogers, Brianna and Terra Rogers, Lily and Bennett Emery, Hayes and Georgia Olson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his son, Brent.

A memorial service is scheduled for April 1, 2023 at 6 pm in the the Collegedal­e Seventh-day Adventist Church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Southern Union Youth Department.
