MONTEAGLE - Amanda Christine Heaton Garner, 40, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at her home in Monteagle, Tenn., after a lengthy illness.

Amanda was born October 28, 1982 to William Heaton Jr and Debra Skiles Heaton in Wurzburg, Germany where William was serving in the U.S. Army. Amanda attended Richard Hardy Memorial School in Richard City, Tennessee and Paola High School in Paola, Kansas. She earned her CNA License and worked as a Home Health Care Specialist. She also worked in Rest Homes in South Pittsburg, Monteagle, Tennessee and Bridgeport, Alabama. She was employed at Food City in Winchester, Tennessee until her failing Health would not allow her to continue working.

Amanda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparen­ts, Bill and Helen Heaton and brother, Christophe­r Heaton Sr.

She is survived by her two sons; Jonathon Coby Rogers, Cameron Neal Rogers; mother, Debra Miller; father, William C. Heaton of DeRidder, Louisiana; maternal grandparen­ts, Donald B. and Patsy A. Skiles; uncles, Don Skiles, II of Chattanoog­a, Tennessee and Jerry Heaton of DeRidder, Louisiana; aunt, Pamela (James) Montgomery; nephews, Christophe­r Heaton Jr., Hunter Heaton; several step brothers, step sisters, many friends, including two special friends, Stephanie Orange and Stella Huffstuttl­er who provided moral support, companions­hip and assisted her what ever the need during her illness. They were always there if she needed them.

Per her request, Amanda will be cremated.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper Tennessee officiatin­g Pastor Darrell Nunley.
