FT. OGLETHORPE Marjorie Lavon Robinson, 109, passed away on December 6, 2023. Marjorie was originally from Andersonvi­lle, Ga. For most of her life, she resided in Rochelle, Ga. Later in life she moved to Hahira, Ga and then finally lived in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga at the Rosewood Assisted Living.

Marjorie married George Elton Robinson in 1935 and they had 3 children. Marjorie enjoyed managing their home and caring for her family. She was an avid gardener and expert baker which her family and the community enjoyed. She was also fond of fishing with friends. Marjorie was an active member of the Rochelle United Methodist Church where she was a long time choir member. She frequently served the elderly in her community. Marjorie loved spending time with her relatives and cooking for them.

She will be greatly missed by her family.

Mrs. Robinson is preceded in death by her parents, Henderson Justice and Bertie Rooks Justice; Son: Gareth Irwin Robinson; Stepmother Carrie Justice; Son-in-law John David Tillman; Siblings: Jewel Duke, Montez Smith, Douglas Justice, Harold Justice, Annie Bell Greene, Luther Justice, Lanier Justice, Arris Justice, Herbert Justice, Lewis Justice, Calvin Justice, Mildred Shiver, and step siblings H.B. Dillard and Riley Dillard.

She is survived by Children: Delores Dowdy and Sonin-law Wayne Dowdy, Lenora Tillman and Son-in-law Jerry Wright; Grandchild­ren: Kathy Shetler, Linda Baragona, Richard Dowdy (Ana Maria), Brian Dowdy, David Tillman, and Mark Tillman; Great Grandchild­ren: Jason Shetler, Tommy Baragona, Kevin Baragona, Richard William Dowdy, Leslie Anne Dowdy, Hannah Tillman, Johnny Tillman, Taylor Tillman, Daniel Tillman, Maggie Tillman, Anna Tillman, and Allie Tillman as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Wilson Funeral Home in Chickamaug­a, Ga on Thursday, December 14 from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Funeral Services will be held at Way-Watson Funeral home in Ellaville, Ga, on Saturday, December 16 at 2 pm. Graveside burial following at Ellaville City Cemetery.
