FLINTSTONE - Thelma Little, age 110, resident of Flintstone, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at her residence. Mrs. Little, daughter of the late William Edward Kirby and Lillie Crider Kirby, was born January 17, 1914 in Cherokee County, Alabama. She was a member of Flintstone Baptist Church for over 81 years. During her working years, she was a seamstress for C D Genter, where she faithfully worked until she retired at the age of 74 in 1988. Mrs. Little enjoyed quilting for family members. She also enjoyed gardening and feeding birds. The family always looked forward to her cooking meals and baby-sitting the grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children. Family members remember her as a kind hearted woman who went out of her way to help people.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Little; son, Howard Little; infant son, Walter Lee Little, Jr.; two sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by three sons, Baxter Little, John Little, and James Little and his wife Brenda; seven grandchild­ren, Rhonda Little, Jamie Little,

Gina Derryberry, Tracy Little, Christa DeBerry, Sandie Little, and Angela Ketner; 14 greatgrand­children; 10 great-greatgreat grandchild­ren; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Saturday, January 27, 2024, 11 a.m. with Billy Chastain officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Lakewood South Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 2-8 p.m.

The family would like to extend their appreciati­on to the staff of Hearth Hospice for the care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributi­ons be made to Flintstone Baptist Church, 121 Mountain View Circle, Flintstone, Georgia 30725.
