Economic snapshot

The Federal Reserve releases a report today on U.S. business conditions.

The so-called “beige book” is a snapshot of business in the Fed’s 12 regional bank districts. The last report in February showed a slight increase in economic activity from January. The outlook remained “cautiously optimistic,” with economic activity expected to increase in the second half of 2024.
