-

Silverdale Baptist Academy is pleased to unveil The Commons at Silverdale, a construction project that marks a significant leap forward in providing 21st century top-tier education facilities for their students. With a budget of $4.3 million, this innovative building is a testament to the unwavering support of our generous stakeholders, along with several funding avenues who share SBA’s vision for educational excellence.

The Commons at Silverdale encompasses a diverse array of facilities designed to enrich the learning experience and empower students for success beyond the classroom. At the heart of this endeavor is a sprawling 1500+ square foot STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) lab, equipped with maker spaces and a fabrication lab. This dynamic environment will foster creativity, critical thinking and hands-on exploration, preparing students for the challenges of the modern world.

In addition to the STEAM lab, The Commons features a dedicated consumer science classroom tailored to cultivate essential life skills. Complete with a fully furnished teaching kitchen, this design will empower students to develop independence and practical knowledge to thrive postgraduation. By nurturing culinary expertise and household management abilities, Silverdale is equipping their students with the tools they need to excel in all aspects of life.

The commitment to holistic development extends to the athletic programs, with brand-new locker rooms designed to accommodate the needs of the girls’ and boys’

teams. These modern facilities not only enhance the studentathlete experience, but also reflect the school’s dedication to supporting a well-rounded education that encompasses both physical and mental wellness.

Beyond the technology rich classrooms and locker rooms, The Commons boasts additional spaces tailored to meet the diverse needs of SBA students and staff. A conference room provides a venue for collaboration and professional development, while ancillary areas offer vital support services to ensure every individual thrives within their educational community.

The construction of The Commons at Silverdale represents Phase 1 of a visionary two-part building initiative. With over 12,000 square feet of an innovative learning environment breaking ground, Silverdale looks forward to embarking on Phase 2 in the near future, further expanding their capacity to nurture the next generation of leaders, thinkers and innovators.

Silverdale Baptist Academy is committed to preparing students for the future by offering a multitude of pathways to success. Under the guidance of the Head of School, Becky Hansard, Silverdale recognizes the importance of providing students with unparalleled opportunities while keeping faith at the center of their journey. As their students embark on their individual paths, Silverdale remains steadfast in their mission to empower them to achieve excellence, both academically and spiritually.

The Commons at Silverdale stands as a beacon of hope and possibility, embodying their dedication to providing an exceptional education with a Biblical worldview that prepares students not only for academic achievement, but for a life of purpose and fulfillment. In this transformative space, the seeds of greatness are sown, and the promise of a brighter future is realized.
