A Chattanooga man allegedly grabbed a gun from another man’s waistband and used it in a fatal shooting near a skate park, according to an affidavit in the case.

Isaac was found and arrested last month in Montgomery, Alabama, and he is being held on a $1 million bond at the Hamilton County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office website.

Police responded shortly before 3 a.m. April 12 to the Chattanooga Skate Park for a report of a person shot, the affidavit states.

Buttram was transported to Erlanger hospital, where he later died, the affidavit states.

Multiple witnesses told an investigator they were at Southside Social together, but it closed, the affidavit states. The large group of people went to the skate park to continue to party.

Most of the people were gathered around a silver Infiniti G37 and a Chevrolet Malibu.

Then, a brief argument broke out between three men who were there, the affidavit states.

Witnesses were able to identify two of the men, but there was one unknown man wearing a bright color hoodie, the

affidavit states. He was later identified as Isaac.

Investigators were told that one of the men involved in the verbal fight had a handgun in his pants throughout the evening, the affidavit states. More than one witness said they saw Isaac take that handgun from his waistband.

Buttram, 21, tried to help the man get his handgun back, so Isaac allegedly shot him.

Two women, one man and Isaac are accused of fleeing the scene in the Infiniti G37, the affidavit states.

Detectives found four 9mm cartridge casings at the scene.

Witnesses were able to identify Isaac from a photo lineup as the person who took the gun, the affidavit states.

Isaac is expected to appear June 18 in front of Hamilton County General Sessions Judge Gary Starnes.
