Parkridge Health System is thrilled to be joining the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Network S on July 1. As we prepare for this exciting transition, we recognize that many patients may be encountering our hospitals for the first time later this year. Whether you’re new to our health system or a longtime patient, we want to assure you of our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional care with warmth and compassion.
For more than 53 years, Parkridge Health System has served the Chattanooga region, evolving from a single hospital in 1971 to a comprehensive network of five hospitals and one freestanding ER offering a full spectrum of medical specialties and services. As part of HCA Healthcare, we are a physicianfocused organization committed to improving the lives of the patients and communities we serve. Our mission has been the same for 53 years: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. That mission comes to life today through the investments we are making to improve access to care and expand our services through innovative technology. Most importantly, it is the foundation with which our colleagues provide care for each patient who walks through our doors.
We understand that change can be unsettling, especially for patients who may be affected by the network transition. Rest assured, our focus remains steadfast on delivering compassionate, respectful care in a safe and comfortable environment. Our care teams are excited about this transition and are ready to welcome new patients into our hospitals, outpatient clinics and freestanding ERs.
This transition is also coming at a time when our health care system is in the midst of its largest investment project to date.
We have multiple expansion projects underway, including a $72 million tower expansion at Parkridge Medical Center on McCallie Avenue. This will significantly enhance our capacity and critical care services. At Parkridge East Hospital on Spring Creek Road, expansions to our labor and delivery and emergency services areas in 2022 were so successful with patients, we are now working on a second expansion of the same size.
These expansions are in addition to a $10 million facility-wide renovation completed in 2021.

I am lucky enough to get to see our care teams in action every day and witness their incredible work that is truly changing lives.
