Two arrested for possession of illegal drugs
Agents arrested two people on drug and theft charges following execution of a search warrant at a Cedar Bluff residence Monday, Oct. 3. They executed the warrant on Cherokee County Road 44 and the result was a seizure of illegal drug, including methamphetamine.
Arrested, according to a press release from Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, were Jeremy Ray White, 34, and Crystal L. Shelton, 25, who were taken into custody on multiple charges and warrants. White had an existing warrant for non-payment of child support and was additionally charged with receiving stolen property in the first degree, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana. Shelton was charged with using a false identity to obstruct justice, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana in the second degree. Shelton also had a warrant for bond revocation in Cherokee County and she will be extradited to Georgia for parole violation.
Both are currently lodged in the Cherokee County Detention Center, Shaver said.
