Mother and son ar­rested on drug charges

Pow­ell and Syl­va­nia Po­lice of­fi­cers ar­rested a mother and son on drug charges re­cently while serv­ing felony war­rants on other charges.

Ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease from Dekalb County Sher­iff Jimmy Har­ris, of­fi­cers went to a res­i­dence on County Road 572 to serve felony war­rants on Justin Tyler Jack­son, 25 of Rainsville, for Es­cape in the third de­gree and fail­ure to ap­pear. When they ar­rived at the res­i­dence, they saw drugs in plain sight. As a re­sult Jack­son and his mother, Glo­ria Pat­ter­son, 40, of Rainsville were ar­rested and charged with Un­law­ful Pos­ses­sion of Con­trolled Sub­stance and Un­law­ful Pos­ses­sion of Drug Para­pher­na­lia, the press re­lease stated.

Sher­iff Har­ris says “Thanks to the Pow­ell and Syl­va­nia Po­lice De­part­ments for con­tin­u­ing to work with us and made these ar­rest pos­si­ble.”
