Fi­nally, as a se­nior mem­ber of the Home­land Se­cu­rity Com­mit­tee, I will work to in­sure Pres­i­dent Trump’s bor­der wall is built along our south­ern bor­der.

I have long fought for this wall to be built to pro­tect our coun­try’s tax­pay­ers’ jobs. We have a real op­por­tu­nity to have the wall com­pleted dur­ing this ad­min­is­tra­tion.

The time is now to re­build our mil­i­tary. Pres­i­dent Obama whit­tled away at our na­tional de­fense and al­lowed Amer­ica’s pres­tige in the world to de­cline. With the ap­point­ment of Gen­eral Mat­tis as Sec­re­tary of De­fense, we are well on our way.

Th­ese are just a few of the is­sues we plan to get to work on in the 115th Congress. I’m look­ing for­ward to it more than ever.
