The next Green Bag Lunch pro­gram at Chero­kee County Pub­lic Li­brary is set for this Thurs­day, June 15 with Mike Ker­acher and “Raised Bed Plant­ing.”

The July 20 pro­gram is on “Hy­drangeas” with Nadine Bruce and the Aug. 17 pro­gram is Ja­son Pow­ell who will present a pro­gram on “Drought-Stricken Plants.”

Just bring a lunch-the li­brary has the drinks and desserts (and cool AC)!

The Green Bag lunch se­ries of gar­den­ing in­for­ma­tion pro­grams con­tin­ues through Novem­ber and the third Thurs­day of each month.

Sum­mer Sto­ry­time in June pro­grams are held Tues­days at 9:30 a.m. There are pro­grams for pre- school through early ele­men­tary grades.

On Fri­day, June 23, a book sign­ing for Sand Rock’s own John Pate will be held from 2 p.m. un­til 5 p.m. The book is “Tears of Gaduhav,” which chron­i­cles the fate of Con­fed­er­ate gold.

A Sum­mer Draw­ing Class will be held for ages 8 and up Mon­days from 1:30 p.m. un­til 3 p.m. dur­ing June and July, start­ing June 12.

The “Build a Bet­ter World” Sum­mer Read­ing pro­gram con­tin­ues at the li­brary.

-Fri­day, June 16-Miss Kit shows how to “Build it with Bub­bles.”

-Fri­day, June 23-Paul Har­bi­son presents “Ae­sop’s Fables”

-Fri­day, June 30- “Build a Bet­ter Mouse­trap” with Magic Man Bill Packard.

-Fri­day, July 7- “Build a Bet­ter Body” with Meaghanne Thomp­son of the Chero­kee County Co­op­er­a­tive Ex­ten­sion Sys­tem.

-Fri­day, July 14: An­i­mal Friends from 6th Day Crea­tures

-Fri­day, July 21: Meet your 25book goal for a ticket to the “Build a Bet­ter Sun­dae” end-of-Sum­mer Read­ing ice cream party!
