Cherokee County Public Library summer programs
The next Green Bag Lunch program at Cherokee County Public Library is set for this Thursday, June 15 with Mike Keracher and “Raised Bed Planting.”
The July 20 program is on “Hydrangeas” with Nadine Bruce and the Aug. 17 program is Jason Powell who will present a program on “Drought-Stricken Plants.”
Just bring a lunch-the library has the drinks and desserts (and cool AC)!
The Green Bag lunch series of gardening information programs continues through November and the third Thursday of each month.
Summer Storytime in June programs are held Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. There are programs for pre- school through early elementary grades.
On Friday, June 23, a book signing for Sand Rock’s own John Pate will be held from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. The book is “Tears of Gaduhav,” which chronicles the fate of Confederate gold.
A Summer Drawing Class will be held for ages 8 and up Mondays from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. during June and July, starting June 12.
The “Build a Better World” Summer Reading program continues at the library.

-Friday, June 30- “Build a Better Mousetrap” with Magic Man Bill Packard.
-Friday, July 7- “Build a Better Body” with Meaghanne Thompson of the Cherokee County Cooperative Extension System.
-Friday, July 14: Animal Friends from 6th Day Creatures
-Friday, July 21: Meet your 25book goal for a ticket to the “Build a Better Sundae” end-of-Summer Reading ice cream party!
