Our daily lives reveal much about us to the world

Cherokee County Herald - - FRONT PAGE -

In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you laid no hold on Me. (Matthew Ch.26 verse 55).

It is interesting to note that on the very night of Jesus’ betrayal and arrest that Judas and associates knew exactly where to find Jesus.

Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. (Ch. 26 verse 36).

Our daily life styles and patterns tells the world a lot about us and our habits.

In a given week, our family, friends and neighbors get to know our habits and customs, and where we normally are on certain days. It may be the daily routine of getting up and going to a favorite place for breakfast, going to work, lunch at a favorite place, weekly shopping, or routine visits to the hairdresser. We are creatures of habit and custom. And we can usually be found in a favorite place with favorite friends.

Now, fast forward a few days: “Would anyone know where to find you this coming Sunday morning?”

And He cometh unto the disciples and findeth them asleep, and saith to Peter, What, could ye not watch with Me one hour? (v40).
