Davis was also a member of the Lady Warrior softball program, where she garnered AllCounty honors in 2009. She helped the program earn fivestraight Cherokee County Tour- nament and area championships, along with back-to-back Northeast Regional crowns in 2010 and 2011.

Davis went on to Jacksonville State and played one season of basketball (2011-12) before helping in athletic training in football and soccer.

After obtaining her teaching degree, Davis spent a year at Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, where she helped coach basketball and softball. She was also an assistant softball coach at Spring Garden for one season.

“For Foley to be giving me this opportunity at a young age (Davis is a month shy of her 24th birthday), that’s something I take a little pride in,” Davis said. “I’m excited about it and I’m ready to get down there and get to work.”

Cedar Bluff has already named a new head volleyball coach in Lyndsey Mullins. Walker will continue to coach the Lady Tiger softball team.
