Po­lice: Man shot 6 times found by bus stop

A man with bul­let wounds in his face and chest was found Fri­day evening near a bus stop in the South Shore neigh­bor­hood.

At 11:34 p.m., of­fi­cers in the 3000 block of East 79th Street saw the 36-year-old who was shot in the face once and in the chest five times, ac­cord­ing to Chicago po­lice.

The 36-year-old told of­fi­cers he was shot in­side an apartment and man­aged to es­cape on foot, po­lice said. He then could not speak any fur­ther and was taken to Univer­sity of Chicago Med­i­cal Cen­ter in crit­i­cal con­di­tion.

Po­lice: Man gets home at 5 a.m., gets shot by his girl­friend

A man was shot by his girl­friend af­ter ar­riv­ing home early Satur­day morn­ing in the West Side Lawn­dale neigh­bor­hood, ac­cord­ing to Chicago po­lice.

The 32-year-old man ar­rived home at 5 a.m. and got into an ar­gu­ment with his 52-year-old girl­friend, who shot him in the leg at their home in the 1800 block of South Saint Louis Av­enue, po­lice said.

The woman drove off af­ter the shoot­ing and the man was taken to Mount Si­nai Hos­pi­tal where his con­di­tion had sta­bi­lized, po­lice said.
