(nee Walla) Passed away on Novem­ber 15, 2018, at the age of 83 fol­low­ing a brief stay at a hos­pice fa­cil­ity in Mid­dle­ton, OH. She was born on June 21, 1935, in Chicago, IL, the only child of Frank and Myr­tle (nee Heyne) Wa­clawek (alias, Walla). Af­ter her mar­riage to Paul D. Schultz in Chicago, on March 9, 1963, the cou­ple moved to New York City, where Cyn­thia worked as a per­son­nel man­ager at an of­fice of Mc­Graw-Hill Pub­lish­ing. In 1973, they moved to Bloom­ing­ton, MN, where Cyn­thia worked in a den­tal of­fice. Fol­low­ing the death of her hus­band in 1989, Cyn­thia moved back to Chicago in 1990 to care for her mother and was em­ployed for sev­eral years in the Reg­is­trar’s of­fice at Quigley Prepara­tory Sem­i­nary. The last year of her life was spent at St. Leonard, a Catholic se­nior liv­ing fa­cil­ity in Day­ton, OH. Through­out her life, Cyn­thia en­joyed bowl­ing, cook­ing, en­ter­tain­ing, cross­word puz­zles and fam­ily gath­er­ings. A Mass will be cel­e­brated on a later date at St. Mary’s, Star of the Sea, Chicago, with in­ter­ment at Will­wood Burial Park, in Rock­ford, IL. Pre­ceded in death by her par­ents Frank and Myr­tle, hus­band Paul and one niece. She is sur­vived by many cousins and their fam­i­lies in the Chicago area, two broth­ers-in­law and two sis­ters-in-law, and six nieces and neph­ews who all loved her very much. She will also be missed and mourned by friends in sev­eral states.
